Preston Douglas is an American artist primarily working in painting and fashion design.
Preston's fashion collections focus on the underlying emotional distress during periods of his life. These bodies of work take a minimum of 6 months to realize, develop, and produce. Therefore, Preston has turned to making paintings, drawings, sculptures, and digital works to satiate his creative drive during a collection's production, or to address specific moments in his life that do not lead to a full collection at the time.
Each medium consciously and unconsciously bleeds into the other as Preston continues to challenge preconceived academic and market-based notions.
